Thanks to a new type of circuit technology, MT CDS Power Line solar panels are far less sensitive to partial shade than all conventional solar panels. Particularly in the mobile sector, this results in a higher yield when – depending on the location – it cannot be avoided that branches, an attached roof box, the satellite system or an open skylight partially shade the solar panels. CDS panels are equipped with 44 monocrystalline high-performance cells and should always be used in combination with an MPP charge controller for optimum performance. Due to the special and complex assembly process of these solar panels equipped with 44 cell diodes, they are also manufactured in an assembly centre in Germany. A robust, all-round aluminium frame protects the cells, which are completely embedded in special safety glass.
These installation sets equipped with CDS solar panels include everything you need. All all-in-one solar systems are supplied with the matching spoiler profiles and a robust roof cable routing. Made of high-quality PUR plastic, these components are safe from harmful UV radiation and also extremely weather-resistant. The solar panels are screwed onto the spoiler profiles. This makes it possible to remove the system at any time when changing vehicles. The bracket itself is glued to the roof with a special adhesive set, which has the advantage that no fastening holes have to be drilled into the roof. Each system is equipped with an MPP solar controller. These have the latest characteristic curves and can be adjusted to liquid/AGM/gel/LiFePO4 batteries. They also have a second charging output (starter battery) and a connection for the solar remote display (option). For vehicles with EBL base station (Hymer Group vehicles), a suitable connection cable set is also included.
