Free and independent! Mobile use for camper, van, boat and picnic or as an extension of the existing solar system - no assembly necessary. With the solar bag "tiny tiger 120" you can charge longer and more efficiently than with conventional solar bags. These have been specially manufactured to meet these requirements. The reason for this is, among other things, the monocrystalline Sunpower Maxeon Gen. III cells of the quality class: Ultra High Performance*

Technical data given at STC (standard test conditions) with 25°C ambient temperature, 1000 W/m² irradiance and an AM factor of 1.5.
The solar pockets are used in parking mode. With the fold-out installation feet, they can always be set up at the best angle to the sun and aligned independently of the vehicle. The supplied cable has a length of 5m. The panel must not be left outside in the rain. However, in inclement weather -or otherwise- it can be placed behind the windshield of the camper, van, boat, PW or other vehicle. By placing it behind the windshield, it can immediately supply energy again as soon as the rain clouds have cleared, provides shade in the vehicle and at the same time supplies energy for consumers such as a cool box, auxiliary heater, etc.
A
solar controller is required for connection to the battery. If you don't have one yet, we recommend e.g. the
MPPT charge controller 165 Wp from PICado Electronics. The cable set for connection to the vehicle as well as a 5m extension are already included in the delivery. Replacement cables can be ordered from our store.

What makes these cells so special and our solar pocket therefore so efficient?
An improved temperature coefficient ensures 25% less power loss due to heating (compared to conventional panels). To explain: the manufacturer's performance specification always refers to 25 degrees cell temperature. However, a panel in the sun will easily reach 70°C, which results in significantly less power. In winter, on the other hand, a panel may well provide more power than originally specified by the manufacturer due to the low temperatures. These panels offer more power even at higher temperatures as well as in twilight. Responsible for this are the cells used, which are significantly more sensitive to a broader light spectrum. This means that charging is possible earlier in the morning and longer in the evening. With an efficiency of 22.14%, our solar pocket generates more energy on a sustained basis than comparable models on the market.
The EFTE surface also offers the advantage that it basically accepts less dirt and, if it does, is much easier to clean than conventional surfaces. In addition, the EFTE surface also reduces the amount of reflected radiation when the sun is at a flat angle.
